Dishing Up Some Tasty Content





250g vegan dark chocolate
2 ½ tbsp corn flour
½ tsp agar-agar powder
2 ½ cups soy milk
½ tsp vanilla essence
¼ cup raw sugar
1 tbsp maple syrup

Break chocolate into pieces and place in a heatproof bowl over boiling water to melt. While chocolate is melting, place corn flour, agar agar and ½ cup of the soy milk in a medium saucepan and mix together breaking down any lumps. Then add the rest of the soy milk, vanilla, sugar and maple syrup and mix together. Place saucepan on medium heat and stir continuously for 5-10 minutes until it starts to thicken to a thin custard consistency, then add melted chocolate, stir through and allow to thicken approximately 2 more minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour into medium bowl and place in the fridge for a few hours to set. Serve chilled, topped with berries or nuts.
